We are staying with our good friend Gwen in Hermosa Beach, which is more of a laid-back surfer town. Her APT literally belly's up to the beach - prime spot! We did a beach day today - just hung out on the beach, 72 degrees outside, no clouds in the sky, just perfect! Gwen and I took a bike ride down "The Strand" to Manhattan Beach where the houses are extremely nice and probably in the $10M range - yikes! We also ate some crazy good fish tacos at "Sharkey's", a well-known California bar/restaurant. One of Gwen's neighbors, Steve (Brad Helleson's long lost brother) grilled out for us. So, we sat on his back porch, eating grilled chicken and smores near his chiminea fire, while watching the sunset on the beach! Pretty awesome view and great conversation!
