We (us kids) planned a surprise party for my parent's for their 30th Wedding Anniversary! Mom and Dad were married on March 29, 1980, so we thought the 30 year mark would be a good time for a celebration! Jenna, Nate, Micah, me, Mom and Dad all went out for a good 'ol Wisconsin fish fry and then blindly lead them into the surprise party at a local Madison bar... needless to say, they were completely shocked and had no idea we planned this celebration for them. Many of Mom and Dad's friends came, along with our relatives... it was such a success! Mom and Dad gave a little speech about how thankful they are for all of their family and friends... they are very blessed to have such great support in their lives.

After the big "SURPRISE", which Mom and Dad were both completely shocked about the party! They tried to make it to everyone for hugs and thank you's.

Steve and Rita Huglen with Mom and Dad...Steve was Dad's Best Man in their wedding back in 1980... we tracked them down and they came all the way from Michigan to be there for Mom and Dad... what great friends!
